hi internet.

hello world. i've recently deleted my facebook account as i thought i would be really mature and say that its a waste of time and i don't need it. i went four days without it before accepting that yes i do need it. its quite sad how obsessed everyone is with facebook  adn the internet now, people spend hours surfing the net, searching peoples profiles, writing  awful things about there so called friends on that awful website formspring, infact, even if i can't bare to part from the world of facebook, i am going to delete my formspring.  

why is it that looking at someone's profile on facebook and making silent comments to yourself about the way they look or dress, has become so addictive? is it because you can compare yourself to them without anyone knowing? facebook was created ( after watching the social network i now understand) so people could stay in touch with each other if they could not see them as much as they would want to. 


but the people that are mostly viewing and posting on your wall are the people you see daily. its becomes something much more than 'staying in touch' its about, making your pictures, status, box's make you seem cooler, crazier, for alot of people,like someone or something that infact you are not at all. why? what is the point ? people will realize who you are eventually, and the people that see it most of the time are people who really do know you so why pretend?
